Johanna Törnström Project Manager and Gender Equality and Diversity World Customs Organization

Johanna Törnström works since 2016 at the Capacity Building Directorate at the World Customs Organization where she currently holds the position of Project Manager and Gender Equality and Diversity Expert for the West Africa Security Project. Previously, she worked on a capacity building project focusing on trade facilitation. Johanna is also the lead officer in charge of Gender Equality and Diversity at the WCO.

Before, she worked as a Policy Officer in charge of Gender Equality at the Council of European Municipalities and Regions for 4 years, and as an intern at UNESCO and the French Red Cross in Paris.

Johanna speaks four languages (Swedish, English, French and Spanish), holds a bachelor in Economics from the University of Gothenburg and a Master in Economics and Risk Management from the University of Sorbonne in Paris.
