Mr. Mohammad Salahuddin Rizvi is a Professional Associate (PA) at the Procedures and Facilitation Sub-Directorate of the World Customs Organization (WCO). His job responsibilities include the WCO Data Model, Data Harmonization and E-Commerce. Prior to joining the WCO as a PA, he worked for Bangladesh Customs for 12 years, where he was responsible for the Customs clearance process, enforcement, HS classification and Post-clearance Audit (PCA). He has a Master's in Public Finance (Customs) from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, under the Japan-WCO Human Resource Development Programme (Scholarship Programme). Also, he has a Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka. He was awarded the Australia Awards Scholarship as well as the Prime Minister's Fellowship in 2019. Also, he received the WCO Certificate of Merit for rendering exceptional service to the international Customs community.
